Özet

The accurate and sensitive quantification of antiviral drugs such as ribavirin (RIBA) is critical for effective therapeutic monitoring and clinical applications, especially during pandemics like COVID-19. In this study, a novel electrochemical sensor based on molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology was developed using a cold plasma-assisted polymerization technique. To improve the sensor performance, bimetallic magnetic nanoparticles (FeNPs and AuNPs) were employed. The developed MIP@FeNP-AuNP/SPE sensor demonstrated excellent sensitivity and selectivity for RIBA detection, with ultra-trace detection limits of 4.92 fM and 52.3 fM for standard solution and serum samples, respectively, achieved both in standard solutions and synthetic serum matrices. Analytical validation showed high reproducibility, stability over six months, and successful application to pharmaceutical formulations. The sensor performance was cross-validated using HPLC analysis, and statistical evaluation confirmed no significant difference between the two methods. This approach presents a promising alternative to traditional chromatographic techniques, providing a portable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly platform for antiviral drug monitoring.
