Özet

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the deficiency uridine monophosphate synthase (DUMPS) allele exists in female holstein cattle in Turkey. The only way to avoid the economic losses is early detection of DUMPS carrier animals. In this study, total 200 female holstein have been screened by the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis. None of the fen-tale holstein was carriers of DUMPS.
