Özet

Three novel derivatives of alpha-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)aminomethylphosphonic acid monoethyl ester. R-CH[NH2-(CH2)(2)OH]P(O)(O-)(OC2H5), R being 2-hydroxyphenyl, 2-hydroxy-5-nitrophenyl and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl, have been prepared by a one-step reaction of the corresponding Schiff bases and diethyl phosphite in over 70 % yields. The structures of these derivatives have been elucidated on the basis of elemental analyses, IR mass and NMR spectroscopic data. A single crystal X-ray study of the first compound has shown that the molecule has a zwitterion structure with (-NH2-OH)(+) and -P(O)(O-)(OR) groups.
