On the basis of archaeological data, it is suggested in this study that Mycenaean migration flows to Anatolia, of the kind proposed in ancient sources and by some researchers, did not actually occur. As an example, when the material culture of the Lycians under the Persian rule was examined and the results were analysed, it could be seen that although the two civilisations are of different periods and had different interactions, the influencing and the influenced cultures exhibit similar political, sociological and economic behaviors and characteristics. Therefore, it is proposed that this cultural influence is correlated to a process and degree of acculturation.
