Abstract

We evaluated the efficacy and safety of tacrolimus in prevention of allograft rejection in high-risk allo-limbal grafts. Six eyes of six patients with severe limbal stem cell deficiency were included. All patients were started 0.1 mg.kg(-1).day(-1) tacrolimus orally 3 days before the surgery. Limbal allo-g raft transplantation for ocular surface reconstruction had a successful outcome with using systemic tacrolimus for immunosuppression.
