Özet

One-hundred enteric gram negative bacteria, isolated from blood, urine, expectorated sputum and tracheal aspiration material obtained from hospitalized patients at the hematology, oncology, surgical intensive care and reanimation units in the Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine, Ibn-i Sina Hospital, were identified by API 20 E (Bio-Merieux) system specifically. Of 100 isolates 46 were Klebsiella spp., 39 were Escherichia coli, 13 were Enterobacter spp. and 2 were Citrobacter freundii. Minimal inhibitory Concentrations (MIC) of the imipenem, meropenem, cefoperazone-sulbactam, ofloxacin, cefepim, aztreonam and tobramycin against to the isolated gram negative bacteria were assessed with the microdilution broth method according to the NCCLS's proposals. Antibiotic sensitivity rates of these 100 Gram bacilli isolated from various clinical specimens were as follows; 92% to imipenen, 96% to meropenem, 94% to cefoperazone-sulbactam, 83% to ofloxacin, 94% to cefepime, 66% to aztreonam and 53% to tobramycin. These results may be helpful for the empiric antibacterial therapy decision especially for the rapid treatment of patients who have serious underlying disorders.
