Abstract

In this paper, an image based advanced control strategies for controling combustion processes and temperature regimes of two flows tubular furnaces in petroluem refinery has been developed as a new approach and design principles have been targeted. In that furnaces, full combustion is related to smoke image, temperature of chimney gases extracting from combustion process and amount of oxygen. For this purpose, a real-time adaptive filter used in image sensing system realizes the filtering process on a basis of the correction of the smoke image overturned to dark gray by combustion process. Thus, required optimum combustion conditions is obtained by controlling of oxygen/fuel ratio in the combustion process. Finally, the image-based control design of combined multivariable symmetric cascade system and its results were given.
