The levels and mountly changes of phenolic compounds in olive leaves was determined. The endogenous phenolic compounds have different effects especially on alternate bearing and rooting of cuttings. The plant materials were collected from the collection located in Bornova Olive Research Institute. Some important Turkish olive cultivars were selected from this collection. (Domat, Derik Halhali, Gemlik, Ayvalik, Memecik, Kilis Yaglik, Nizip Yaglik, Tavsan Yuregi, Sari Ulak, Uslu, Manzanilla, from Spain. TLC analysing methods forphenolic compounds were used and the results were examined qualitatively.
