In this research, it is aimed to determine the effect of creative drama method on the academic achievements and the views on the method of the sixth grade students taking ICT lesson. In the research, the qualitative and quantitative research methods were used together. The qualitative data was collected through student diaries and the quantitative data was collected through The Communication Tools Achievement Test (CTAT). CTAT was used to determine the effects of creative drama method on students’ academic achievement in ICT lessons. The test has got 25 questions. Creative drama activities were prepared to be used in ICT lessons of the experimental group. It was consulted to three different experts in the creative drama field for the activities. In the study, the mixed method was used to collect qualitative and quantitative data by the researcher. The quantitative data was analyzed with t-test and the qualitative data was analyzed with content analysis technique. The findings in the study show that the creative drama method used in the ICT lessons has a significant effect on the academic achievement of the students. The qualitative data obtained through the student diaries show that the creative drama method, a learning process based on life, is effective on obtaining objectives, on the expressing themselves of the students, on the learning of technology, internet and social media of the students, and on the consciously use of these technologies of the students in their real life.
