The ground- and excited-state energies of two-dimensional Frohlich polarons in a magnetic field are calculated variationally. The present approach is based on Lee-Low-Pines trial states for the phonon part and the use of algebraic methods for the Landau levels. Considering first-excited states, some cyclotron masses are calculated and compared with the existing models. Some of the excited states are identified with the internal relaxed excited states of the magnetopolaron system. It is found that the present results for both energies and masses agree with the Feynman polaron theory in high magnetic field and in large electron-phonon coupling constants.
