Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a virus that is as common as influenza in adults and can cause acute respiratory tract diseases. Therefore, in our study, we compared the clinical features of RSV and influenza viruses in patients who applied to our clinic between June 2023-2024. Underlying lung disease and the need for mechanical ventilation were significantly higher in the RSV group. In line with these findings, we believe that vaccination against RSV is at least as important as influenza.
