Özet

A case of nonresectable inguinal angiosarcoma, that achieved complete remission as a result of isolated pelvic perfusion, is presented. The patient was perfused with 100 mg cisplatin and 50 mg doxorubicin for 60 minutes and then the right common iliac artery was catheterized with a port catheter for intraarterial chemotherapy. After the operation and one cycle of intraarterial doxorubicin chemotherapy, the patient had a second look operation, at which there was no macroscopic evidence of tumor and histological examination of multiple biopsies revealed tumor necrosis, with no viable malignant cells. Complete remission was achieved and five cycles of intraarterial chemotherapy with doxorubicin and external radiation were given for adjuvant treatment. She remains apparently disease-free after 30 months.
