The aim of this study was to investigate the security issues in Big Data ecosystem by using Hadoop, the most widely used Big Data Framework. Big Data technology affects and transforms almost every aspect of daily life, from trade to health, transportation to personal and professional life. Most of the tools used in Big Data have been developed for analyzing specific data for a specific purpose. At this point, depending on the data types analyzed, security is neglected or substantially taken into second place. Furthermore, because of the development of Big Data tools with open source code, the security functions may be ignored or while configuring a cluster, administrators may choose to disable security function for the purpose of increase performance. Although the tools used are different, there are common security holes such as weak access controls, unsafe communication infrastructure, weak user interface, and lack of encryption. These security vulnerabilities will be examined using the Kali Linux Tools. The results of this study provide insights into the concerns related to Big Data security and could inform future research efforts in this vein.
