Özet

Films have been used as a supplementary instructional tool in various disciplines in higher education. Research indicates that showing films in the classroom has improved the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the course. The objective of this study is to show the impact and outcomes of showing films to teach behavioral science to business students. The study was conducted at a university in Turkey to understand the students' retention level of learning the concepts and theories as well as the complexity of human behavior. The data was collected through a survey and classroom observations. The findings show that the students' preferred the integration of films to the course compared to a traditional only lecture course. The class discussions after the screening of the movies also contributed to their retention and helped build critical thinking skills. © author(s).
