Three angular-type pyranocoumarins, (-)-anomalin (1), (+)-(3R,4R)-3',4- disenecioyloxy-34-dihydroseselin (2), and (-)-(3R,4R)-3',4-angeloyloxy-4'- acetoxy-3\4'-dihydroseselin (3), two linear-type furocoumarins, bergamottin (4) and isoimperatorin (5), and a simple coumarin, suberosin (6) have been isolated from the roots of Seseli hartvigii (Umbelliferae). 1 he structures of these compounds were determined from spectral and physical information, and with reference to literature data.
