Özet

In this work, it is presented that results from the successful application of Generalized Minimum Variance Control (GMV) with decoupling for packed distillation column in pilot plant. The steady-state and dynamic behaviour of a binary packed distillation column has been simulated using plug flow model. The model solutions have been obtained employing orthogonal collocation on finite elements. A number of comparisons were made with results obtained both theoretically and experimentally. Pseudo random binary signals (prbs) and Bierman's algorithm were used to estimate the relevant parameters of the system model. Generalized Minimum Variance (GMV) control with decoupling was applied as a one step ahead optimal control law. Both decoupling and nondecoupling works were carried out and results are compared.
