This article discusses the views of Richard C. Box and Robert B. Denhardt, two academicians, who support critical theory for public administration discipline. The analysis of the authors, who define themselves as critical theorists, will help its comprehend what the application of critical theory to the public administration field signifies. The "Critical theoretician approach" to public administration has neither been translated, nor has been subject to literary composition in Turkish literature on public administration until today. It can be said that in this respect, this article is a general overview of American public administration theorists' arguments. In this study, firstly, the Frankfurt School/Critical Theory will be argued. Then the opinions of Box and Denhardt will be scrutinized on the basis of common concepts. The study will be concluded with a brief evaluation.
