Panoramic radiography is a diagnostic modality for providing a view of the entire maxillofacial region. In this chapter, the introduction allows us to remind the reader of the basic principles. It is aimed to describe the technique (i.e. type of X-ray equipment and image receptor, the positioning of the patient, with diagrams and photographs of the patient in position.
