Introduction: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of sodium butyrate and High-Performance (HP) inulin supplementation on the promotion of gut bacterium Akkermansia muciniphila growth and alterations in microRNA-375 and Kruppel-like factor 5 (KLF5) expression in patients with T2D.
