Özet

The purpose of this study is to investigate the reliability and the validity of ''The Marital Comparison Level Index'' developed by Sabatelli (1984) in married couples. The sample consisted of 50 couples who had not received counseling about their marriage problems. The analyses revealed that ''The Marital Comparison Level Index'' is a reliable and valid instrument to measure expectation level for Turkish populations. The factor analysis showed that there two factors in the scale consisting of positive and negative features in evaluation.
