Özet

Isparta is the most important rose growing center of Turkey. With annual average of 65-70 % humidity, 500-600mm rainfall and (-15)-(+38 degreesC) minimum and maximum temperature, it has also suitable ecological conditions for oil rose growing. The cultivars and ecotype of Rosa damascena Mill. have been grown by using cutting or two old-suckers for many year. As a result of this propagation methods, many rose types taken from different genotypic origin were cultivated, and a rich genetic diversity was created. There is no report on identification and discrimination of this genetic diversity by molecular or morphological markers, up to now. In this research, we aim to investigate the genetic diversity of Rosa damascena Mill. grown in Isparta by RAPD analysis. For this purpose, 14 genotypes obtained from approximately ten different regions were used and the similarities/differences of these Rosa damascena Mill. types were analyzed by using 14 dekamer primers.
