Özet

Objectives: With this study, it is aimed to investigate the gynecological cancer awareness of Ufuk University staff. Methods: Women aged 20-65 working at Ufuk University were included in the research. “Participant Information Form”, two “Questionnaires” on obstetric and gynecological features and gynecological features of participants and Gynecological Cancers Awareness Scale were used in the collection of the data. The data were evaluated using SPSS 24 package program. For the analysis of the data, number, percentage, average and standard deviation calculations and Chi Square test were used. The significance level was taken as 0.05. Results: 49.5 % of the women were health personnel, 67.6 % of them were university graduates and average age of women was 33.42±9.97. Women's scores from Gynecological Cancers Awareness Scale according to their profession groups were following; academic staff 157.05±21.42, administrative staff 150.94±27.28, helathcare staff 159.96±24.2 and no statistical differences was found between these scale scores (F= 1.441, p>0,05). Conclucions: Gynecological cancer awareness of Ufuk University staff was found high. the lowest awareness score was belonged to administrative staff.
