Afyonkarahisar Province was chosen in this study as having an important role in Turkey’s livestock and feed crops cultivation 2,5% and 2,3%, respectively. With the aim of evaluating the production of the most planted feed crops which are vetch, alfalfa, silage corn and sainfoin; a survey was carried out on the establishment subsidied with the feed crops subsidy. The survey applied to 12 villages selected from Merkez, Çay and İhsaniye districts representing the Afyonkarahisar province as regards natural factors, feed crops cultivation area and production techniques. Participants divided into 3 groups with stratified sampling in terms of feed crops planting area size as 1-1.4 ha, 1.5-2.9 ha, 3+ ha. Chi-Square independence test was used to examine whether there is significant relationship between variables also frequency tables were used to evaluate the variables. Testing with Chi-Square, it was identified that there is a significant relationship between the increase in number of bovine after subsidies and the ratio of livestock’s income in total income, number of bovine livestock and feed crops planting area size. According to this study; to increase effectiviness of feed crop subsidy it will be useful during the determination of requirements for feed crops subsidy taking in to account of the ratio of livestock’s income in total annual income, number of bovine livestock and feed crops planting area size.
