Özet

In this study, performances of tractor's driver seat with passive damping system under simulated input vibration test conditions have been investigated. For this purpose 78/764/EEC Type Approval Directive and ISO 2631-1 numbered standard have been used. 18 seats which have been used in this study were classed according to their damping systems firstly. Two main classes are determined: mechanical type and pneumatic type. Mechanical type suspension group is also divided into three subgroups: L type, vertical type, and horizontal type. Pneumatic type seats are divided into two subgroups: automatic driver's mass adjustable seats and manually driver's mass adjustable seats. All seats have been tested under class 1, class 2, and class 3 vibration conditions according to 78/764/EEC Type Approval Directive. Test results have been taken as RMS frequency weighted acceleration according to ISO 2631-1. For class 1 and class 2 all seats are evaluated as positive. For class 3 tests only two seats which are into L type mechanical suspension group are evaluated as negative for heavy driver. For class 1 and class 2 tests automatic driver's mass adjustable pneumatic type suspension group is determined the best suspension group according to Duncan analyze which has been done by means of test results. There is no important difference between the groups statistically for class 3 tests.
