This work addresses the development of mobile robot platform. In the proposed work, Roomba robot has been adopted in order to improve its performance to undertake a number of specific tasks. Additionally, the sensor array comprising and collision avoidance. The developed sensor array and robot platform have been tested and the effectiveness has been verified through a comprehensive series of experiments.
