Abstract

In this investigation pumice stone located in the area of Madensehiri was studied and its reserve was estimated. In order to use for buildings as lightweight concrete aggregates its physical characteristics were evaluated. Tests proposed in DIN 4226 and TS 1114-Standards on lightweight aggregates for concrete were carried out and the results showed that the pumice stone under examination is suitable for use in lightweight concrete. -from English summary
