Özet

During anesthesia emergence and at the postoperative early period patients are faced to complications related with cardiovascular system, respiratory system and pain, nausea-vomiting, shivering, thermoregulation problems and itching. The effective diagnosis and management of these complications can only be possible with a well organized postoperative care unit and qualified staff. In this manuscript, the complications at the postoperative early period, methods of diagnosis and treatment, and organization of postoperative anesthesia care unit were revisited.
