Abstract

© 2014, Ankara University. All rights reserved. The aim of this study was to identify the approaches, methods and techniques preferred by 4th year pre-service teachers of Classroom Teaching while they were designing values education activities. Data were collected by using the qualitative data collection method of “document analysis”. The participants were 4th year teacher pre-service teachers at Classroom Teaching Departments of three state-run universities in Ankara. They were asked to design activities to teach the value of being open minded. Following this, the methods, techniques and/or approaches used by these pre-service teachers were analyzed descriptively. Their preferences were found to be somewhat associated with the values education approaches of “values clarification” and “inculcation”.
