The Timaeus which is konown as one of his late dialogues is an important key work to understand Plato's philosophy, as well as his Republic. But at the same time it is a work that includes vogue expressions and presents mythos and logos together. Hence it is a difficult text to read and make systematization. Saying that it has poetical and mythic language which against modern scientific view, some modern scholars criticize it. They also maintain that Timaeus is a kind of intellectual evil, and it represents the traditional and mythological values vis a vis rational and modern ones. However, when we ignore the Timaeus we lack some knowledge that is provided only by it. That is very clear when it comes especially cosmology and God. New Platonists have accepted this text as pointing out to divine dimension of Plato. Timaeus' explanation regarding god or gods and generation of cosmos has drawn attention of Christian philosophers. In this article we will discuss the Timaeus and the philosophical problems it includes. In introduction I will provide concise information as with Timaeus. There-inafter, I will examine God, the creation of cosmos, Demiurge. In the end I will summarize the conclusion.
