The concept of career is important for people who are or are likely to be in business life. The concept of
career decidedness refers to the individual's commitment to his or her choice of career and his or her
satisfaction with this choice. The aim of the study was to determine the career decidedness of college
students in the field of sports sciences and to examine these decidedness according to different variables
such as gender/sex, age, work experience and department. The research was carried out using
quantitative research methods. A total of 633 students from Kastamonu University School of Education
and Sports participated in the study (Turkey). The Career Decidedness Scale which consists of 6 items
and one sub-dimension and adapted to Turkish by Akçakanat and Uzunbacak (2019) was use as the
instrument tool. As a result it was determined that the career decidedness level of the participating
students was moderate. In addition, it was found that the level of decidedness of male participants was
higher than females. Also, a positive correlation was found between the participants' age and work
experience parameter and career decidedness.
