Özet
A study was carried out on the effcts of partial replacement of NO3-N in recirculating solution, by amino-acid N, urea and NH4Cl on growth, nitrate content and tipburn incidence of lettuce cultivars Berlo and Kirsten grown on NFT. Different nitrogen sources combined with NO3-N in the nutrient solution, did not cause any differences in fresh and dry weights of either variety. The reference treatment (94% NO3 + 6% NH4) caused the highest nitrate accumulation. The lowest nitrate accumulation occured in the proteinate treatment. Berlo contained more nitrate than Kirsten. Kirsten was found to be more susceptible to tipburn than Berlo. Urea + NH4Cl and proteinate + NH4Cl treatment caused an increase in tipburn incidence.
