Abstract

Agricultural crops are grown in large quantities and agricultural biomass residues are remained from this production in Turkey. In this study, biomass residues amount was calculated from the arable field crops and horticultural fruit production in Turkey and its spatial distribution map was developed according to provinces in Turkey. The potential energy values of these biomass residues was also calculated for Turkey. With the study, the potential provinces that could establish a biomass energy plant were identified.
