Abstract

The long-term average annual solar radiation (LTAAR) on flat-plate and five main types of concentrating collectors are calculated. The results are presented for six climatologically different regions in Turkey. The effects of increase in concentration ratio on LTAAR values are discussed for both clear and cloudy atmospheres. The monthly variation of available radiation on the same collector geometries are graphically presented for clear and cloudy atmospheric conditions. © 1990.
