Özet
This paper demonstrates the use of geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) techniques for land resource studies such as to assess the utility of satellite multispectral images and digital topographic data as supplemental tools for the generation of landform and land cover information and to determine areas with a high potential soil erosion risk, to apply different qualitative soil erosion models in the Beypazari area. This paper discusses two aspects of integrating remote sensing and ground-based data. The first involved the use of Landsat TM data to assess land cover using digital elevation model (DEM) data to complete the landform study. The second phase involved the use of digital geological, DEM, Landsat TM, and soils data to generate a qualitative soil erosion risk map.
