Changes in soil surface roughness affect the exposed surface area, air currents, radiation which directly influence the moisture, temperature and aeration of the soil and soil erosion, surface water storage, infiltration rate, etc. Many soil factors which are related to the soil surface roughness are affected by tillage operations The seedbad preparation under desired conditions serve to work precision drill machines effectively and productively. In this study a tael new measurement system had been developed to determine roughness of the soil surface by using inductive sensor mid data aquisition system. In order to control the system accuracy two different types of known geometric models were used. After these accuracy operations in the soil channel column type of profilograph and developed new measurement system were applied in the same line. When the wheel diameter was bigger than the diameter depthness of the ditch, some measurements couldn't be sensed by the sensor.
