Özet

This paper demonstrates a unit cell single-layer Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) layer for sandwich radomes for filtering X-band operations with a center frequency of 10 GHz having a bandwidth of 3.45GHz. The design was optimized as having a 7x7 array size to mimic the unit cell model accurately. The structure is evaluated for TE and TM polarizations for different angles of incidence values having a step size of 1°. A sample radome for a fighter nose is considered as it is covered by the proposed structure FSS and compared with the radome fully PEC material on its surface. Results showed that the FSS implemented version has good agreement with the results of the PEC radome design. Comparisons are also presented in the results.
