CANCER RESEARCH THERAPY & CONTROL, cilt.5, sa.4, ss.295-299, 1998 (SCI-Expanded)
Antioxidant potential (AOP), oxidation resistance (OR) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels of cancerous and non-cancerous adjacent colorectal tissues from 13 patients with colorectal adenocancer were measured to investigate oxidant/antioxidant status of the tissues. AOP of the cancerous tissues was found to be significantly lower than that of non-cancerous ones. However, OR and MDA levels of cancerous tissues were not different from those of non-cancerous ones. In the correlation analysis carried out between analysis parameters, significant differences were found in the cancerous tissues.
