The influence of thermal fluctuations on the delay time of nonhysteretic Josephson junctions during a linear rise in the current through them is investigated in two cases: a) during a slow rise, and b) at a high rate of increase. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-7842(98)02709-3].
