Özet

It was aimed to determine the effects of the mine operation on the landscape sensitivity of the Madenkoy Basin. Firstly, NDVI analysis was performed to determine the change of land cover in the basin. Secondly, erosion risk and runoff potential have been determined in order to determine the sensitivity of the landscape in the basin. The findings show that green areas have increased in the last 35 years in the whole Madenkoy Basin due to afforestation activities, but there has been a decrease in the number of green areas in the mine operation and its immediate surroundings. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that pit mining activities were carried out in areas with high risk. Therefore, it is possible to say that the mining activities carried out in areas with high erosion risk and runoff potential throughout the basin increase the sensitivity of the landscape much more. The negative changes in the landscape can be revealed as a result of the interventions on the landscape with the methods used within the scope of the study. This study makes it possible to anticipate the results of potential interventions and to eliminate the negative effects with the landscape planning studies.
