In this study, canonic discriminant function of Karayaka and Bafra (Chios x Karayaka B-1) sheep were determined by live weight and body measurements. In research, live weights and body measurements of 223 Karayaka and 462 Bafra sheep in various ages reared at Gokhoyuk Agricultural Enterprise that belongs to General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises were used. In stepwise discriminant analysis, 5 measurements (body length, back length, head length, wither height, head width) significant in discrimination from 9 measurements were found as sufficient in genotype classification. Sheep breeds were 100% correctly classified with canonic discriminant function gathered from two group quadratic discriminant analysis.
