European Food and Feed Law Review, cilt.20, sa.1, ss.18-26, 2025 (Scopus)
This article provides a comparative analysis of the enforcement framework for enforcing EU and Turkish food laws. It first gives an overview of food law enforcement in the EU and Türkiye. It then moves to the comparison of two regimes from the following perspectives: Scope, principles, institutions, methods, rights and responsibilities of food business operators, and enforcement action. The article provides a clear picture for academics and businesses operating in both jurisdictions. This relevance is complemented by the candidate country status of Türkiye to the EU and identifying what legislative changes would be required before a possible accession.
