Plants normally take up nutrient elements by their roots. However, above ground parts such as leaves, fruits, shoots are also capable of absorbing nutrients. Leaves contribute to the nutrition of plants at considerable level. The comperatively high capabilitiy of leaves to absorb nutrients enables us to solve some serious nutritional problems.
