Özet
Dentomaxillofacial region is one of the most complex regions to depict in radiographs. Due to the complex anatomy of the region, there is a need for a thorough investigation of the whole anatomy to identify and set the correct diagnosis as well as to understand anatomy. For this reason, a detailed clinical examination together with proper imaging strategies should be performed meticulously. Different and various pathologies are encountered in these regions and they are due to various causes. Because of the anatomic complexity of the region various head and neck structures (such as temporal bone, mastoid air cells, and auditory structures) should also be investigated along with imaging of the temporomandibular joint. Therefore, careful clinical and radiological examinations are essential in the evaluation. Throughout this book, anatomy, imaging methods, the classification of various pathologies and radiological techniques are being discussed.
