Özet

A series of N-substituted indole amide derivatives was tested for in vitro effects on rat liver mlcrosomal NADPH-dependent lipid peroxidation (LP) and superoxide anion (SOD) formation. Vitamin E (α-tocopherol) decreased the LP level by about 63% at 10-4 M concentration. A significant decrease in male liver microsomal LP level was noted for the compounds 1, 8 and 10 at a concentration of 10-4 M comparing with α-tocopherol. The inhibition of O2<- by compounds 8 and 10 were found highly efficient. Both activity results show that these compounds are promising antioxidants.
