Özet

Objective: Classical phenylketonuria (PKU) is on inherited disorder of amino acid metabolism. Since treatment at an early stage is the most important factor effecting prognosis of the disease, the disease is screened with newborn screening program in our and in many countries as well. The basis of treatment is a life-long phenylalanine-restricted diet.
