Özet

Interest and enrollment in web-based or online distance programs continues to grow in Turkey. We are no longer in the first wave of online course development. The courses being taught at Ankara University's Distance Learning Program need to be redesigned. Because they were not developed with the learner in mind to meet students' expectations when the program first started. Ankara University's Center for Distance Learning is dealing with the improvement of online course quality now. We are looking for concrete methods to make our courses work. We need to focus on techniques to increase engagement and participation. In this sense, we conducted a survey study to collect data from our online distance education students to find out the expectations to be able to design the online courses effectively.
