Özet

The purpose of fitting growth curves is to express changes in shape and live weight occurring in time depending on genotype and environmental factors. The fitted curves display the pattern of growth in time. The type of growth curve to be selected depends on type of biological material and growth in time. In fitting growth curve, researcher should keep in mind that the estimated parameters of growth function should be biologically meaningful.
