Özet

© 2019 24th European Meeting of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics. All rights reserved. It is known that the undulated surface topography distort the dc resistivity measurements. In this study we investigate surface topography effects on dc resistivity vertical electrical sounding (VES) data. In this study, we develope a new two dimensional (2D) forward solution algorithm to solve Poisson equation. This equation is solved by using finite element technique with unstructured mesh. Due to the flexibility of this method, the desired surface topography can be easily simulated. We investigate the effect of the topography on the VES data.
