Abstract

The accumulation of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg) was measured in water, sediment, plankton and fish samples collected in Burdur lake. In addition, the phyto- and zooplankton diversity along with some physico-chemical parameters were determined. The accumulation order of heavy metals in the water samples was found to be Cd > Cr > Pb > Hg, in sediment Cr > Pb > Cd > Hg, in plankton Pb > Cd > Cr > Hg, and in fish samples Ph > Cd > Cr > Hg.
