El presente artículo examina la recepción turca de la obra de José Ortega y Gasset, pensador español a partir de los años 1940 hasta nuestros días, después de dar un breve resumen sobre la situación de editar libros en Turquía en la jóven república hasta presente. En este sentido el trabajo presenta ediciones turcas de la narrativa de Ortega y Gasset y detalla la presencia de las pruebas de la traducción del pensamiento orteguiano en nuestro país que ha habido para familiarizar a los lectores turcos con la filosofía de Ortega. Inmediatamente se intenta abordar las características de los estudios orteguianos en Turquía y las tendencias principales de interpretación de Ortega por los investigadores turcos.
This article examines the reception of the works of José Ortega y Gasset, the Spanish philosopher, in Turkey from the 1940s to the present day. It begins with a brief overview of the development of book publishing in Turkey, from the early years of the young Turkish Republic to the present. In this context, the study presents the Turkish editions of Ortega y Gasset’s works and explores the translation efforts undertaken to introduce Turkish readers to his philosophical thought. Finally, the article examines the characteristics of Ortega y Gasset studies in Turkey and identifies the main trends in the interpretation of his philosophy among Turkish scholars.
